DREAM HORSE tells the true story of a racehorse bred by Jan Vokes, waitress and novice of the horse world, who managed to participate in the prestigious race of the Welsh Grand National. DREAM HORSE had its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival in 2020.

The true and inspiring story of Dream Alliance, a surprising racehorse, bred by a simple waitress from a small Welsh town, Jan Vokes. With very little money and in-experience, Jan convinces his neighbors to invest their meagre savings in breeding Dream Alliance in the hope that it will win races against the elite. The group’s investment paid off, as Dream Alliance climbed the ladder with courage and determination and then participated in the Welsh Grand National race, showing the heart of a true champion.

First film by Welsh television director Euros Lyn(BlackMirror, Sherlock, Daredevil), DREAM HORSE is the touching tale of a Welsh community that gathers around a common dream. Of Australian origin, Toni Collette had to work extensively in order to master the distinctive accent of Wales. Just like her character, the actress forged a deep bond with Beau, the horse that plays Dream Alliance, during the filming: she loved him so much that she even thought of bringing him back with her to Australia.
