From the team that distributed SOUND OF METAL, Photon Films (formerly Pacific Northwest Pictures) is excited to announce that MOGUL MOWGLI will be opening in theatres across Canada on Friday, September 3rd. The film stars Riz Ahmed (Sound of Metal) and is directed by Bassam Tariq (These Birds Walk). Making its debut at the 2020 Berlin Film Festival, it was written by both Tariq and Ahmed together.

“We got to draw on our personal experiences and those of people we know,” says Ahmed. “It’s a journey towards self-love rather than running away from who you are or where you come from. Zed [the main character] is chasing all these mirages out there in the world but what he’s looking for is inside him. It’s part of his DNA, his childhood and memory. It’s a journey within. And that’s reflected very much in the style of the film.”
