It was a decade of plenty of political unrest and change and that was transported into the world of film.

Hollywood Suite brings the entire six-part CNN docuseries about some of the more recent decades in film. The first part is The Seventies. Produced by the Emmy-winning tandem of Tom Hanks and Gary Goetzman along with some help from HBO and producer Mark Herzog, the film looks at the American films of the decade and how they were shaped by the world around them while also influencing the world.

This film really sums up the 70s in film. Showing snippets of the great films and interviews with the best directors. This is rounded out by interviews with present day actors/actresses as well as producers, directors and film critics. They all talk about the wonder of the films and how influential they were on their careers. The words of Alec Baldwin, Maya Rudolph, Julianne Moore, Robert De Niro, Robert Redford, John Singleton, Julia Roberts, Tom Hanks, and Ron Howard ring true. You see their marvel and love of the films from that decade.

Really a must watch if you are a film fan. Will definitely educate while giving you that nostalgic feeling about the films. You will learn things you never knew about these classic films and then will send you scrambling to either watch or rewatch many of them.
