Despite the cancellation of Pomme and Soccer Mommy concerts, due to the current health situation, POP Montreal still has a few surprises in store for you!

On September 22 join Film POP and Rock Camp Montreal for an evening with legendary band FANNY who will be joined on stage by NOBRO to perform live after the screening of the documentary Fanny: The Right To Rock.

The experimental rock band Thus Owls will play a free concert on Friday, September 24 at noon at the Jardins Gamelin Montreal prodigy Tess Roby (who was signed to the prestigious Italians Do It Better label for her first album) will replace Melanie Venditti on September 25th at le Ministère.

And two more surprises for Sunday, September 26th’s big finale:
A free parade in partnership with SiriusXM, which will bring together Safia Nolin, Rara Soley, Socalled, Buffalo Hat Singers, Fred Fortin + a surprise guest in a secret location…

At the Rialto Theater: a show with Islands and Menno VersteegIslands is fronted by Nick Diamonds, (Dan’s Seligman former roommate), and co-lead of the mythical band The Unicorns. He is a creative wizard making eccentric pop gems in the mold of classics like Sparks and Todd Rundgren.

Menno Versteeg fka Mav Karlo, is the former lead singer of Hollerado, one of the great Canadian underground rock bands of the last 20 years and co-founder of Royal Mountain Records.

POP Montreal 2021 will be a hybrid festival, in-person and virtual. For in-person concerts, the current Covid-19 protocols will be applied and a health pass will be required at the entrance of the concerts. If you are planning to attend a performance, you MUST purchase your tickets online in advance. There will be no tickets available at the door.

They will also have their Art POP exhibition on the third floor of the Rialto, Puces POP at Église Saint-Denis, conferences and discussions with POP Symposium at the Rialto, Film POP at Cinéma Moderne and at L’Entrepôt77 (ciné-concert) as well as Kids POP at Parc Saint-Viateur.

PROOF OF VACCINATION REQUIREMENTS
– POP Montreal Staff will ask to see your vaccination passport or a proof of double vaccination to enter the venue or outdoor performance space. This process will apply to all ticket holders, staff, artists and guests over the age of 13.
– For residents of the Province of Quebec over 13 years old, POP Montreal will use the Vaxicode verif. ApplicationIf the person doesn’t have the web proof of vaccination, POP Montreal staff will ask for the paper version of the proof of double vaccination. In both cases, a picture ID will also be asked.
For anyone with health problems that result in not having the vaccine they will have to get an ”adapted QR code”  or pdf version printed from Santé Public. 

For people without the Vaxicode app. 
– For people coming from outside the Province of Quebec over 13 years old, POP Montreal staff will ask for their proof of double vaccination with a picture ID AND staff will take the contact of these persons. If the person can’t provide this information, they won’t be allowed in the venue.
– If a ticket purchaser can not provide this information, they will not be allowed in the venue. Refunds can be requested before September 20th 2021 for this reason. No refund will be considered after September 20th. All show listings and tickets available on www.popmontreal.com
