Today, one of pop’s most loved singer-songwriters and performers, Lauren Jauregui announces the title of her highly anticipated debut solo project, ‘PRELUDE.’
Speaking about the new project, Lauren reveals, “Deep gratitude to be able to finally birth the beginning of this project into the world. ‘PRELUDE’ is a piece of my heart and I can’t wait for you all to hear what that sounds like.”
With the news of her upcoming project, Lauren is also excited to announce a special livestream performance presented by the premium social live media platform Moment House, co-directed by new creative director Matthew Daniel Siskin (Beyoncé, 6LACK, Florence & The Machine). Airing on Thursday, October 14th and Friday, October 15th (depending on territory), the event will see Jauregui performing songs from ‘PRELUDE’, for the very first time. Amidst a dreamy, intimate setting, Jauregui will deliver a dynamic performance featuring dancers, costume changes and more.
Jauregui’s moment will be broadcast to various territories around the world including North and South America, Asia, Australia & New Zealand, and the UK, Europe, and Africa. Tickets are now on sale HERE.
Since her music debut at just 16 years old as a member of Fifth Harmony, Lauren has gone on to earn multiple awards and nominations both with and outside of the group. She has collaborated with some of the world’s biggest artists and producers and has amassed millions of global streams in her own right as she has weaved through the search for her own voice.
Since the end of the group in 2018 and having spent most of the time since in the studio writing, recording and revisiting music, the artist is ready to enter this new/true phase of her career with music written and produced from her heart with the help of some wonderful producers and writers she considers friends. On the horizon, the first part of the project is nearing completion and an album is piecing itself together. Last year, Lauren released ‘Lento’ featuring Tainy and ‘50ft,’ along with their respective artful music videos at the dawn of a global pandemic, both having since garnered millions of views and streams across all platforms. ‘Lento’ and ‘50ft’ offered fans the first taste of new music from Lauren, following ‘Expectations’ (written by Jauregui and produced by Kid Harpoon), and ‘More Than That’ (produced by Murda Beatz), which marked Lauren’s official debut as a solo artist.
Outside of the studio, Jauregui has spent much of her career engaging with her fans on a variety of social and global issues. As an insightful, curious, independent thinker and healer; Jauregui continues to use her platform to advocate for human rights and share her own journey of finding her truth through her art, “which is a self-exploration through this human experience”. Lauren is looking forward to sharing her he(art) through what is to come and is currently adding final touches to her debut release. Jauregui’s energy is focused on creating beautiful healing art that lasts the rest of time as she grows and matures into her own sonic voice.
