Cinemania renews its partnership with the CRAVE platform for a second consecutive year

As part of its partnership with Bell, the CINEMANIA Film Festival is very pleased to partner again with the Crave broadcast platform for a second consecutive year. This agreement will extend the festival experience for all spectators from the end of this 27th edition until December 1st. For the occasion, Crave subscribers will be able to find a selection of the titles presented at CINEMANIA this year on the platform in a dedicated collection.

A unique partnership with CRAVE

From the end of this 27th edition, from November 21 to December 1, a series of films from the festival will be accessible to all subscribers of the platform in a dedicated collection, entitled “The best of CINEMANIA” which will include the flagship titles of this year’s selection. This collection will function as an extension of CINEMANIA with several premieres including GUERRES  by Nicolas Roy, TOKYO SHAKING by Olivier Peyon, NIGHT DOCTOR by Elie Wajeman, ROUGE by Farid Bentoumi or THE SPEECH directed by Laurent Tirard.

It is also as part of its agreement with the Crave platform that CINEMANIA will premiere NICOLAS ROY’s GUERRES on Thursday, November 11 at 6 pm at the Imperial Cinema in the presence of the director and part of the film team. This drama centered around the army earned Éléonore Loiselle the prize for the best actress for her performance at the Karlovy Vary festival last July.

At the age of twenty, Emma decided to enlist in the army.  Not only does she want to follow in her father’s footsteps, but she also yearns to get rid of an oppressive sense of existential emptiness. Although the strict discipline of the army helps her to free herself, she gradually discovers that in this male society, it is very difficult to repress her emotions.

Distributed in Quebec by Axia Filmsandproduced by Nicolas Comeau for 1976 Productions, GUERRES will be shown in cinemas across the province on November 12 before being available on the viewing platform.

The 27th edition of CINEMANIA takes place from 2 to 14 November in theaters in Montreal and from November 2 to 21 online accessible anywhere in Canada.
