December 27 to 30 1 pm, 2 pm, 3 pm, and 4 pm At the Museum – 350 place Royale, Old Montréal |

During the holidays, Pointe à Callière is holding a series of creative workshops to coincide with the It’s Circus Time! exhibition. Reservation required: 1ticket is valid for a family of 6 people (maximum). Activities are included in the price of admission to the Museum. |
Program: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday: Create a circus character! Join your children in building a cardboard circus tent you can then use as your own little pocket theatre. After decorating it, you’ll create a circus character using crayons, scissors, and glue. Next, bring the character to life by imagining a circus act and presenting it under your little big top! |
Thursday: Make your own phenakistoscope
A phenakistoscope is an optical toy that creates the illusion of movement. Working together as a family, build your own phenakistoscope decorated with a juggling clown, then bring the clown to life.
Pointe-à-Callière’s lectures are being held in person again! For this first lecture complementing the It’s Circus Time exhibition, the Museum has invited specialist and author Pascal Jacob to take us back in time to the origins of the circus arts. More info |
Can’t attend the lecture in person? Watch it online, available as of Friday, December 3 at noon on Pointe-à-Callière’s Facebook page. |

For its Montréal en couleurs campaign, Pointe-à-Callière’s La Relève is showcasing homegrown talent and boosting the local economy through the sale of exclusive serigraph prints created especially for the occasion, on the theme of Montréal, City of Circuses. Take advantage of #givingtuesday, November 30, to purchase these unique illustrations by Audrey Malo, Kezna Dalz, and Pierre-Nicolas Riou. A nice way to support the Museum! |
