Canada’s First & Longest-Running LGBTQ2S+ Film Festival Announces Award Winners and Encore Week
from November 29 to December 4, 2021
image+nation, Canada’s first LGBT2SQ+ film festival closes out its 34th edition after masterfully embracing the challenges of a venue closure days before opening to offer exceptional queer stories in-cinema and online across Québec. With the news of Cinéma Impérial’s closing, image+nation turned on a dime with image+nation x PHI SESSIONS, a “cocktails & cinema” concept at the PHI Centre, as well as a full festival roster available on the image+nation platform. The results: 10 days of exceptional queer stories showcasing diverse perspectives that respond and contribute to wider conversations about cultural, sexual, and gender identit(ies).
As image+nation34 comes to a close, the Festival offers an ENCORE WEEK from November 29 to December 4 featuring jury and audience award winners as well as a selection of audience favourites to keep the queer cinema love flowing for just a little longer!
