SOFI TUKKER is ending the year by launching a bi-weekly SiriusXM radio show, Freak Fam Radio, on Diplo’s Revolution Channel 52. The show airs every other Wednesday at 10 PM ET/ 7 PM PT and the next one is December 15th. Freak Fam Radio is a celebration of the online community that developed around the group’s record-setting daily livestreams during lockdown that dubbed itself the Freak Fam. The livestreams afforded SOFI TUKKER the chance to have a direct and consistent relationship with their community and to get feedback as they tried out new material. Since their return to the live stage, the group has had the chance to join in on some of the Freak Fam meet-ups. Along with the group’s wildly fun and global perspective of dance music, the radio show will also include contributions from the Freak Fam and continue the conversation between the group and their community. The group will also pick their favorite Track of the Week and encourage listeners to vote for their favorites.

SOFI TUKKER has just surpassed one billion plays on Spotify. The group’s anthemic “Purple Hat” has joined “Best Friend” and their timeless juggernaut debut single “Drinkee” in surpassing 100 million plays on Spotify. Their collaboration with Chicago phenom John Summit, “Sun Came Up”, reached #1 on US dance radio last month becoming their third #1 on Billboard’s Dance Airplay chart following “Best Friend” and “House Arrest”.

The group’s final release of 2021 is their stirring rendition of “What a Wonderful World” which appears on Apple Music’s exclusive holiday collection ‘Carols Covered’ playlist. The group’s re-imagination of the Louis Armstrong classic underscores the song’s balance of melancholy and hope with a stark arrangement that highlights the heartbreakingly vulnerable vocal from Sophie.

SOFI TUKKER has announced a series of live dates including their forthcoming headline slot at the Ultra Music Festival. The band made their triumphant return to the stage this fall following over 300 livestreams during the pandemic that saw them become the second most livestreamed artists of 2020. The group also just completed their first Las Vegas residency at Elia Beach Club where they did ecstatic monthly DJ sets. Watch a recap of the residency here
