The 4th edition of the FIKA(S) Nordic festival is back
From March 3 to 11, 2022 in Montréal
The Festival of nordicity from here and from Scandinavia!
The 4th edition of FIKA(S), Immersive Festival of Kultur and Scandinavian and Nordic Art, will take place from March 3 to 11, 2022 in various locations in Montréal. This year, the multidisciplinary festival invites the public to 9 days of events and activities to celebrate Scandinavia and Scandinavian cultures.
Popular with the public, FIKA(S), which brought together 35,000 people in 2019 during its 3rd and latest indoor edition, celebrates all Nordic cultures by highlighting the nordicity from here and from Scandinavia! The festival’s mission is to promote the Scandinavian and Nordic art of living in Montréal and Québec through cultural and artistic encounters to create bridges between Québec and the Scandinavian countries. It puts forth Montréal as a representative city essential to the notion of nordicity. FIKA(S) offers a rich cultural program focused on music, cinema, gastronomy, literature, visual arts, conferences, and workshops as well as networking sessions while promoting the values of exchanges, discoveries and sharing.
The complete FIKA(S) 2022 program will be unveiled in February.
About FIKA(S) :
Founded in 2015 by Christel Durand, the FIKA(S) cultural dissemination organization inaugurated its first event in March 2016: the Immersive Festival of Kultur and Scandinavian and Nordic Art. Inspired by the Swedish word fika, which designates the coffee break or sharing of a privileged moment, this multidisciplinary festival aims to promote the Scandinavian and Nordic art of living by inviting the public to cultural, social and artistic encounters on a human scale. Its main objective is to promote exchanges and create spaces for encounters and discoveries.
