ES1, the first French-language channel dedicated to e-sports, becomes MGG TV. The name change of the channel, distributed in Canada by the THEMA group and available from most operators, comes in a context where eSports continues to experience phenomenal global expansion. In Quebec, as elsewhere, eSports are attracting a spectacular increase in interest with the creation of numerous professional and collegiate leagues as well as countless tournaments since the arrival of the channel in 2019.

Established in France by the Webedia group, the channel attracts more than 1.3 million French-speaking viewers per month and the MGG site attracted more than 27 million unique users in 2021. By grouping everything together on the same banner, Webedia allows the channel to establish itself as the French-speaking source for e-sports and to continue to position itself at the heart of major competitions and events in the sector thanks to its competitive and exclusive television rights.

In 2022, the channel also continues its development in Quebec thanks to the broadcast of the Quebec King of the Spike tournament based on the competitive shooter game Valorant (Riot Games) whose next competition will be broadcast on February 15, 2022 at 9 pm.
