EROICA: Honouring our Health Care Heroes!
Two Works by Beethoven at the Maison symphonique
Orchestre classique de Montréal
to Welcome 200 Health Care Workers!
The Orchestre classique de Montréal (OCM) is extremely proud to be adding a concert to its regular season in tribute to our health care workers, under the baton of Boris Brott, on May 27, 2022, at 8:00 p.m. at the Maison symphonique. A lineup of Canadian opera stars, along with the gifted pianist Jean-Philippe Sylvestre, will join the OCM for an all‑Beethoven program!
Thanks to the generous support of the evening’s sponsor, Medicom, the OCM is inviting 200 health care workers from the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC) and the Jewish General Hospital (JGH) to attend the concert free of charge, in recognition of their valiant efforts during the pandemic.
“This final concert of the season will be an emotional one, as we honour the true heroes of our society who have been working tirelessly to take care of us for more than two years!” says Taras Kulish, executive director of the OCM.
This concert will also provide an opportunity to hear the musicians of the Canimex Mentorship Program, sponsored by Canimex Group and RBC Foundation. The thirteen students from Université de Montréal’s Faculty of Music will join the orchestra for this concert.
