STREAMING THIS MONTH ON MUBI

This month, MUBI presents a selection of winners and nominees from Oscars past. This is the perfect opportunity to brush up on your awards trivia, fill some of those viewing gaps, or convince yourself again that a certain film or performance was robbed. Star-studded and Oscar-nominated, the films here are some of the choicest cuts from the Night of a Thousand Stars, including Mel Brooks’ deliriously funny Best Original Screenplay-winner, The Producers, Heidi Ewing and Rachel Grady’s incisive Best Documentary-nominated Jesus Camp, Alejandro González Iñárritu’s career-launching Best International Film-nominated Amores Perros, and Jean Renoir’s masterpiece, Grand Illusion, which became the first foreign language film nominated for Best Picture.

Plus, joining these titles are the groundbreaking documentary work of actress-turned-filmmaker Lee Grant, nominated for her performances in Detective StoryShampoo, and Voyage of the Damned, and winner of Best Documentary award for her film Down And Out in America, as well as a double feature of two Academy Award-nominated melodramas courtesy of Driving Miss Daisy director Bruce Beresford.
