“Holographic garden, on the other side of the screen”
An inspiring installation that invites downtown workers to escape
A creation of Collectif Escargo and Multicolore
The large-scale art installation, created in collaboration with the artists’ group Collectif Escargo, has been on display in the lobby of the CIBC Tower since March 7. It invites downtown workers to relax, recharge their batteries and get creative at lunchtime, during a break or between meetings.
A true oasis of relaxation, which takes the form of an open pavilion enthroned in the middle of an urban garden, the Holographic Garden is one of eight installations born from the “I like to work downtown” initiative and intended to enhance the return to the office and restore downtown to all its effervescence and creativity. The pavilion is composed of shimmering and colorful materials with holographic effects, while a large vegetal gesture, made from aerial plants, completes the installation. The inspiring space invites workers to integrate art and nature into their daily lives, in the very centre of Montreal’s business district.
