Piknic Électronik is back with its beats and buckets for a 19th edition! Montrealers’ favourite summer event invites the public to celebrate every Sunday in the summer, from May 22 to October 2. For its 2022 edition, Piknic Électronik is back in a big way: electronic music aficionados, dancers and picnickers are invited to Parc Jean-Drapeau for more than 30 events on an outdoor site open at full capacity for the first time since 2019, and even optimized to offer more space to festival-goers.
Regular programming: the long-awaited passes are on sale tomorrow!
The presale of passes will start tomorrow, Thursday, April 7, for subscribers to the Piknic Électronik newsletter. The passes will be available to the public from Friday, April 8, directly on the website of Piknic Électronik which has been revamped for the occasion. The passes give access to Piknic’s 18 regular events. Valued at $450, they are offered at the preferential rate of $119 for the first lucky ones and then at the always attractive rate of $139. Students will benefit from the $99 rate at all times!
The programming of the 19th edition of Piknic Électronik, which we owe to (Avec) Courage, will be unveiled on April 12, 2022 and single tickets will go on sale in the following days.
OfF Piknic: the meeting place for the big names in the electro scene
In parallel with the 18 events that make up its regular season, Piknic Électronik will offer several evenings in OfF Piknic mode: special evenings, where big names in the electronic scene and artistic collectives will follow one another at the turntables of Parc Jean-Drapeau on certain weekends. Festival-goers will be able to find the talented producer KAYTRANADA on May 19 and 20, the opening of the festival; the London audiovisual sensation Boiler Room on two stages on July 2, with Armand Van Helden headlining; or the deep house of All Day I Dream on September 17. In addition to the OfF Piknic program, several artists initially programmed as part of Igloofest 2022 are Maceo Plex (May 27), Diplo (June 3), Claptone (June 11), Dillon Francis (September 2), Fatboy Slim (September 3), Bonobo (September 10), and Richie Hawtin (September 24). New and exclusive this year at ofF Piknic: a Videotron VIP area will welcome up to 600 people on site. Tickets for these 11 OfF Piknic evenings are already available for sale on the Piknic Électronik website. Other OfF Piknic, whose programming is also the responsibility of our precious collaborators (With) Courage, artists will be announced soon!
