Rediscovered Celestial Arias
The Ensemble Clavecin en concert (15 musicians)
under the direction of Luc Beauséjour, harpsichord
Unpublished arias from 18th century opera masters, engraved by Pierre Gouin and edited by Luc Beauséjour. Following operas by Handel and Vivaldi, Clavecin en concert invites you to discover those of additional 18th-century opera composers who were famous in their time. The beauty of the various arias is expressed through different moods, conveying feelings of languor, hope, love, passion, and despair… Julie Boulianne will sing arias by these bel canto masters – works that have never been edited or sung since their creation.
