MIKE POSNER SUMMITS MT. EVEREST & SHARES HIS EXPERIENCE VIA NEW SINGLE & MUSIC VIDEO “HOME”

LISTEN TO “HOME” HERE

Returning from the summit of Mt. Everest, GRAMMY® Award-nominated multi-platinum artist, songwriter, and producer Mike Posner shares his story of ascending to the highest point on earth via an emotionally charged new single and music video entitled “Home.”

Produced by Mike Shinoda, “Home” features Mike’s vulnerable vocals that build towards a reassuring refrain with a promise, “I know you’re worried I won’t make it, but no, don’t worry I’m gonna make it home.” The accompanying visual documents his journey to the top of Everest. Title cards narrate the climb in between real-life footage, culminating with his arrival at the summit on June 1, 2021 at 4:35 am. To prepare, he climbed 71 mountains and trained for a year and a half. He notably dedicated “Home” to his trainer Dr. Jon Kedrowski and mountain guides Dorje Sherpa and Dawa Chirring Sherpa. Mike dedicated his climb to the Detroit Justice Center. Regarding the song, he commented, “If I did my job well, “Home” pulls out the crystalized longing that was in my heart before I walked across America and climbed Mt. Everest so everyone else can see why I had to do those things.”

In the wake of his transformative trip, Mike has continued to write in the studio with the likes of Benny Blanco, Kane Brown, Alec Benjamin, Jimmie Allen, and Salem Ilese, to name a few. He recently broke up the sessions with a two-week expedition to Antarctica. He also recently got certified as an instructor for The Wim Hof Method, a combination of breathing exercises, cold therapy and commitment to increase immunity.
