Following the release of his 41st album entitled Surrounded By Time, released on April 23, 2021, Tom Jones will tour the world to perform the songs on stage, in addition to several of his hits and classics.
Having already recorded three critically acclaimed albums with director Ethan Johns (Laura Marling, Paolo Nutini, Kings of Leon, Ray Lamontagne), Tom was eager to continue what is proving to be the longest artistic collaboration of his career with this new musical project.
Over the course of a career spanning more than 50 years, Tom Jones has never slowed down, launching a succession of must-see hits such as “It’s Not Unusual,” “Kiss,” “Delilah,” “What’s New Pussycat,” “I’ll Never Fall In Love Again,” and “Sex Bomb,” among others. In addition to remaining an artist whose concerts and records have been popular for more than five decades, he continues to receive critical acclaim, including for his most recent #1 album released last year, Surrounded By Time. Most recent of his collaborations with director Ethan Johns, this collection of covers of songs by artists like Bob Dylan, The Waterboys, Cat Stevens, and many others once again demonstrates his love for blues and soul music. It’s the latest highlight of a career filled with it, including when Tom Jones was knighted by Her Majesty The Queen in 2006. Other highlights of his long career include BRIT Awards for Best Male Artist and for his Outstanding Contribution to Music; a Silver Clef Lifetime Achievement Award; the Hitmaker Award presented by the Songwriters Hall of Fame [United States]; GQ’s Man of the Year; as well as the prestigious Music Industry Award [UK].
