RENDEZ-VOUS PRO 2022: 10th EDITION

Organized as part of the 40th edition of Rendez-vous Québec Cinéma, the 10th edition of Rendez-vous Pro is an event that encourages meetings between professionals from here and elsewhere and supports the promotion of Quebec cinema with foreign professionals.

DISTRIBUTION OF QUEBEC CINEMA ABROAD
Tuesday, April 26 – from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. – BANQ – Auditorium – Free admission
International speakers and Quebec producers discuss the broadcasting and distribution of Quebec cinema internationally. The important aspect of processing our accent through captioning will also be discussed.

CRAVE: an exceptional showcase for Quebec creators and discussion on the hit production Aller Simple
Tuesday, April 26 – 1 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. – BANQ – Free admission
Discover current trends and opportunities offered by Crave, a streaming platform offered in French and English, with more than 9,500 hours of content in French. Crave allows Quebec artisans to propel their production throughout the Canadian market, and also to open doors for them internationally. Followed by a round table on Bell Media’s original fiction production, Aller Simple: Crave.ca. Go behind the scenes of this gripping psychological thriller proclaimed the most beautiful surprise of the winter. QUEBEC CINEMA DANS LES REGIONS – ITS DISTRIBUTION, ITS BROADCASTING
Tuesday, April 26 – 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. – BANQ – Auditorium – Free admission
People from the film industry, living in the regions, will come together to discuss their reality as filmmakers outside the greater Montreal area. Initiatives, such as Table de concertation interrégionale, will also be discussed.

FILM LESSON: FRANCIS LECLERC
Tuesday, April 26 – 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. – Cinémathèque québécoise – Hydro-Québec
From his first music videos to his most recent ongoing project Le Plongeur, Francis Leclerc navigates masterfully between comedy, drama and fantasy. In this lesson, he talks to us about his journey and his experiences during his productions such as L’arracheuse de temps, Pieds nus dans l’aube and Un été sans point ni coup sûr.

From pharmacist to scriptwriter, Renée Beaulieu turned towards cinema from her passion for words which led her to script Le ring. Since 2015, she has been making films that dare to tackle strong subjects. She invites us to explore her journey as a multi-talented filmmaker without forgetting to mention her most recent film presented in the Tapis bleu section, Inès.
