A bold program composed of 15 shows
La Maison Théâtre has unveiled its next season, which promises to be without intermission. Composed of 15 shows aimed at young people aged 2 to 17, this vast 2022-2023 program will run from September 23, 2022 to June 18, 2023. From dance to theatre, music and clownish play, the next program promises to be rich in emotions. A season synonymous with openness to the world, to others, to oneself.

LE MUSÉE DE LA FAMILLE
L’eau du bain

In this performance featuring a real family, L’eau du bain knocks down the fourth wall and questions, with the audience, family ties. They invite spectators into the intimacy of everyday life shared between children and their parents. A true door behind the scenes, Tonne de briques is a large playground where a mother, father and daughter have fun transposing their own roles to create a play. Between fiction and documentary, the play blurs the boundary between reality and imagination. Real life becomes theatre and this family reveals the sometimes chaotic beauty of the bonds that unite its members.

Director Marie-Ève Huot and Belgian choreographer Zoë Demoustier join forces for the very first time. Together, they bring together three young Quebecers and three young Flemish in this snapshot of society. These six teenagers will storm the stage to expose their view of the contemporary world. They will be the voice of a resilient and persevering generation.

A rock concert for toddlers conceived of by Karine Sauvé and Érika Tremblay-Roy, Le Potager hosts a greenhouse on stage in which a singer, a guitarist and a drummer are gradually revealed. Children let themselves be won over by the music that can be downloaded before or after the show.

With this new creation, Les Incomplètes combines with their immersive aesthetic approach the plastic work of artist Laurence Petitpas to create a captivating visual, sound and puppet universe.
In addition to families, the Maison Théâtre will welcome, throughout the year, elementary and secondary schools, as well as preschool groups as part of its programming and through its accessibility program. Always with the aim of making the performing arts accessible to as many people as possible, three performances will be sensorially adapted (RSA) for the family audience. These shows will be aimed at individuals living with autism spectrum disorder, sensory integration disorder, learning disability, anxiety disorder or who are simply not comfortable with the conventions of traditional theatre. The sound and visual atmosphere of the show as well as the reception will be adapted to create a calm and inclusive environment.
A LIVING HOME, A COMPLETE EXPERIENCE
The Maison Théâtre is pleased to take full possession of its place and to propose, for each of the shows presented, an activity related to the scenic proposal in order to deepen the artistic experience. Exhibitions, crafts, participatory installations and fun projects will be added to the program during the season.
