A little more patience! After a late spring, Piknic Électronik will make its big comeback on May 22 at Parc Jean-Drapeau. For its 19th season, Piknic Électronik’s outdoor site will be open at full capacity for the first time since 2019, and even optimized to offer more space to festival-goers! Montrealers’ favourite festive ritual will kick off the festival season in Montreal, in just under two weeks: Breakbot & Irfane, worthy representatives of the French touch, will open the festivities of this 19th season, which promises to be more exciting than ever! For this new edition, it is to the beats of a joint program man/woman that the Parc Jean-Drapeau will vibrate, with no less than 18 events and a hundred performances throughout the summer.
It’s going to hit hard all the month of May at Parc-Jean Drapeau thanks to the programming of (Avec) Courage!
For the first weekend, Breakbot & Irfane will open the ball on the Videotron stage on Sunday, May 22. They will be accompanied by the French Darius and the Montreal duo Voyage Funktastique. Sugarface Belfo will take the woody stage by storm before being joined by Montrealer Poirier who will mix in B2B with KYOU.
Exceptionally, taking advantage of the public holiday, the festivities will continue the next day, Monday, May 23, with the progressive house of Hernan Cattaneo who will be at the helm of the Videotron stage from 4 p.m. On the SCÈNE DU BOISÉ, festival-goers will also move to the rhythm of the disco-house of Salomé le Chat, Sierra and Victor Rodriguez who will bring the final touch to this first electric weekend!
To conclude this month of May of madness, the legendary formation of Detroit Octave One will be passing through Parc Jean-Drapeau. They will be preceded by Montrealers CMD and Claire who will, without a doubt, thrill the crowd. Finally, it is with the rising star of Bristol Batu breakbeat as well as with Lis Dalton and Boomer Baby that this first month of Piknic Électronik 2022 will end.

Remember that in addition to the regular Sundays programming, Piknic Électronik will offer several evenings in OfF Piknic mode throughout the summer: special evenings, where big names in the electronic scene and artistic collectives will follow one another at the turntables of Parc Jean-Drapeau. In May, festival-goers will be able to find, under this formula, on May 19 and 20, the talented producer KAYTRANADA, and on May 27 Maceo Plex and DJ Tennis!
