A tour through the province is organized with the film crew. Directed by Sandrine Brodeur-Desrosiers, this family comedy, starring Charlotte St-Martin, Liam Patenaude, Charlie Fortier, Louka Amadeo Bélanger-Leos, Simone Laperle, Isabelle Blais and Pierre-Luc Brillant, will premiere in Quebec City on June 1. The team will then meet the public in Trois-Rivières, Montreal, Sherbrooke, and will finish its trip on June 8 in Gatineau as part of the Festival du Film de l’Outaouais (FFO). The film will then be shown in Quebec cinemas starting on June 10.
Justine, 12, believes that she will be happier once her parents are divorced. The only catch? They do not envisage this possibility. Tired of the screams and the quarrel that reigns at home, Justine surrounds herself with her band of friends and tries everything to achieve her ends.
After notable short films such as Juste moi et toi (Crystal Bear for best short film at the Berlinale 2019) and Fanmi (screened at the Toronto International Film Festival 2021), Sandrine Brodeur-Desrosiers has chosen, for her first feature film, to dive into the world of cinema for young audiences. PAS D’CHICANE DANS MA CABANE! is co-written by Sandrine Brodeur-Desrosiers and Maryse Latendresse. The director surrounded herself with young voices throughout the production process to create a modern adventure story with endearing characters.
