GUIDED TOURS OF “A PARLIAMENT BENEATH YOUR FEET”
Join one of their guides and stroll over the remains of a building—measuring over 100 metres long—that, in turn, housed St. Anne’s Market and the Parliament of the United Province of Canada.
After Air, Eau et Terre, Pointe-à-Callière, Montréal’s Archaeology and History Complex, is releasing FEU — Lueurs et fureurs, the latest opus in its prestigious “Archaeology of Québec” series, published by Éditions de l’Homme in collaboration with the Ministère de la Culture et des Communications du Québec.
This new, lavishly illustrated book examines the indelible traces that fire has left on Québec soil.
Under the direction of Pointe-à-Callière, FEU — Lueurs et fureurs is edited by Christian Gates St-Pierre, professor and researcher at the Université de Montréal, and Yves Monette, archaeologist and researcher specializing in material culture, with the participation of several experts.
Available at the Museum Shop, in bookstores, or online.
