LISTEN TO THE NEW SINGLE “LET U GO”

+ FORTHCOMING EP “DOES A FISH KNOW IT’S WET?” OUT JULY 22ND

+ ANNOUNCES FALL NORTH AMERICAN TOUR DATES

Peach Tree Rascals shared their new single “Let U Go” via 10k/Homemade Projects. Laced with breezy melodies, sun-kissed electric guitar and spurts of lovey-dovey romance,  the track evokes sincerity and adventure, tonal throughlines for a group of talented underdogs. It’s the newest single from their latest EP, Does a Fish Know It’s Wet?

Coasting over a carefree beat, the genre-blurring collective describes a seesawing relationship: “My baby calls, but she never gets a hold of me/She’s out the door, wow, she’s been listening/But I never wanna let you go/Never wanna let you go/Never gonna let you go.” The song oscillates between resolute declarations and ambivalence, but it’s threaded by a fundamental call to explore, an instinct that refuses to be dulled by a love life. The video keeps that same energy. In the visual, Peach Tree Rascals shift between a group hangout session and arguments with their respective girlfriends, with said confrontations creating some hilariously intense moments. Combining buoyancy with earnestness, “Let U Go” and its accompanying video offer a jolt of positivity that arrives just in time for the summer.

Peach Tree Rascals say this of the track:

“’Let U Go’ was the final song added to our EP, Does a Fish Know it’s Wet? We love how high energy it is. We feel like it best rounds out the EP and tells the story about how sometimes whether it’s a romantic relationship, personal relationship, or even just a friendship, you have to learn to let go of the things that are preventing you from being successful and happy. This idea ties back to the greater vision of the project which is that oftentimes we feel like our decisions are being influenced by those around us when our ultimate goal is to create our own path especially when it comes to the storytelling in our music and how we visualize those topics.”

Peach Tree Rascals are a collective, dedicated to collaboration and community. They are a brotherhood, coming together to be more than the sum of their parts. Comprised of producer/mixer Dominic “Dom” Pizano, rappers-singers Issac Pech, Tarrek Abdel-Khaliq, Joseph Barros, and creative director Jorge Olazaba, the group started as a teenage “do-it-yourself” attempt at music, based out of a shed in San Jose, California. With most of the members being second-generation Americans (the sons of Palestinian, Filipino, and Mexican immigrants), they quickly realized a deep, natural connection with one another, and grew into a single, harmonious unit.

As the band grew, they added Jasper Barros, the mastermind behind some of the guitar tracks on their biggest hits and EJ Atienza, Jorge’s right-hand man assisting him with all things creative. 16 songs and a debut EP later, the group has accumulated over 300M streams and have received certified gold for their track, “Mariposa,” which also reached #1 on the Alternative Radio Chart

The Peach Tree Rascals have stayed true to the DIY mentality they had when they first started working together. As Issac puts it, “The future of PTR depends on what we wish to accomplish. It’s totally in our hands and work ethic, but we know we want to be as big as possible.” Signed to 10k/Homemade Projects, the Rascals are poised to ascend to even greater heights and are gearing up for some highly anticipated new music and live shows this year.
