The inaugural program of the new Montreal Country Festival with
Luke Bryan, Dierks Bentley, Old Dominion, Kelsea Ballerini and many others!
August 12 and 13 at Parc Jean-Drapeau
LASSO in town – August 11 at MTELUS
In addition to the LASSO festival, Jade Ealegleson will be at MTELUS on Thursday, August 11.
Montreal’s Île Sainte-Hélène will host an extensive celebration of country music featuring some of the industry’s most popular artists, performing at Espace 67 in Parc Jean-Drapeau (one of the most beautiful festival venues in North America). Festival-goers can expect to see iconic and top-notch artists like headliner Luke Bryan, one of the world’s most beloved country artists; Dierks Bentley, who has already had 17 songs on the #1 Hot Country Songs and Country Airplay charts; Tenille Townes, the 4-award winner from Grand Prairie, Alberta, who recently wowed the crowd at the Canada Day show; Kelsea Ballerini, who unveiled details about her upcoming album on social media recently; and many more.
There are so many great artists to see at one of the most inspiring festival venues in the world – plus headliners! Here are some of the program’s must-haves:
Ashley McBryde – One of the most authentic acts in the country world, she has been described by Rolling Stone as “a tavern high priestess who drinks whiskey while singing rock-tinged country, with lyrics that instantly capture our attention.”
Old Dominion – This Nashville band plays delightful country music with pleasant sounds that will thrill everyone. The band has won several ACM awards, and its members have written hits for big names such as Kenny Chesney, Blake Shelton, and one of LASSO’s other stars, Luke Bryan.
Blanco Brown – Can you believe that a rapper and producer who has worked with artists like Pitbull and Chris Brown is now hugely successful in the country community? This is the case of viral sensation Blanco Brown, a pioneer of trailer trap whose marriage of urban rhythms and country line dancing is absolutely irresistible. He will make the whole crowd dance The Git Up!

Canada will also be represented by some of the country’s most talented artists, who will perform their country hits :
Sacha – Originally from a small town in Ontario, Sacha has the wind in her sails. She is currently a finalist in SiriusXM’s Top of the Country contest, which is no wonder, considering that her song What The Truck (with The Reklaws) is the fastest-certified Canadian country song of all time.
Steven Lee Olsen – This Toronto singer is known as one of Canada’s most prolific songwriters, having written songs for Keith Urban, Garth Brooks, Rascal Flatts, Billy Currington, The Judds and Dallas Smith, among others. It will be a great opportunity for fans to experience his distinctive voice.
LASSO’s lineup also includes some of the best local artists playing in Quebec’s new country wave, including Matt Lang, the festival’s ambassador who played in front of more than 80,000 delirious spectators in Quebec City last week; and directly from Montreal, Brittany Kennell, who participated in The Voice in the United States, in addition to being the only Quebec country artist to have performed at the Grand Ole Opry in Nashville.
