Based on six days (from Tuesday, August 23 to Sunday August 28), MUTEK Festival offers a rich program with four series to explore all facets of digital creativity, including sound, visual and/or interactive. This expertise is founded on an eclectic and novel musical selection that values plural shades of electronic music and a seductive and immersive visual experience. The official program of the twelve VJs who will be translating into images some of the performances of the Play and Nocturne series is unveiled today. This effervescence is also reflected through three associated programs showcasing the collaborations with key cultural players on the Montréal art scene cultivated for the past 23 years: the Society for Arts and Technology, Piknic Électronik, Totem Contemporain productions and Le Vivier. |
Visual artists of the 23rd Edition
For this 23rd edition, the MUTEK programming team has entrusted the official selection of the twelve VJs to the British and American artist BunBun. Involved in the Montreal scene for several years, BunBun has created visuals alongside renowned artists such as Alicia Keys, Atari Teenage Riot, John Digweed, Lee Burridge, Monolink, Rüfüs Du Sol and hundreds of other musicians.
For MUTEK, they decided to bring together emerging creators and festival regulars to accompany part of the evening at MTELUS and the Society for Arts and Technology.
