ETERNAL SPRING will be opening theatrically in Montreal on September 23 at Cinéma du Musée.
The film picked up the Rogers Audience Award for Best Canadian Documentary and the Hot Docs Audience Award at this year’s Hot Docs festival.
Four-time Canadian Screen Award-nominated director Jason Loftus, combines present-day footage with 3D animation as the documentary retraces the life of comic book illustrator Daxiong and a group of Chinese activists who execute a bold and perilous plan to hack into state television, when they are confronted by government denunciations and human rights violations against their spiritual practice.
