Claire (Jane Fonda) reunites with her old best friend, Evelyn (Lily Tomlin) at the funeral of their college roommate, Joyce. There they hatch a plan to get revenge on the widower, Howard (Malcolm McDowell), who dropped a bomb in each of their lives decades before. There’s murder in the air, as well as laughter and tears, as the two women confront the ghosts of their past and their hopes for the future.
