Amazing authors making their mark at SXSW 2023

A significant portion of last week’s Featured Speaker announcement for the 2023 SXSW Conference reflected a focus on creative and compelling authors.

Let’s take a look at five can’t-miss authors speaking next March:

  • Rohit Bhargava. A frequent and extremely popular SXSW speaker, Bhargava and his co-author Henry Coutinho-Mason will talk about their 2023 title The Future Normal: How We Will Live, Work and Thrive In The Next Decade.
  • Amy Gallo. Her new title Getting Along: How to Work with Anyone (Even Difficult People) fits perfectly into the Workplace Revolution track at SXSW 2023.
  • Cecile Richards. The former President and CEO of Planned Parenthood, Richards penned Make Trouble: Standing Up, Speaking Out, and Finding the Courage to Lead–My Life Story in 2018. Next March in Austin, she will be part of an all-star panel focused on data and privacy in post-Roe America.
  • Douglas Rushkoff. His new book Survival of the Richest: Escape Fantasies of the Tech Billionaires continues his work of shining a light on the excesses of the ultra-wealthy.
  • Amy Webb. Another longtime favourite with SXSW attendees, Webb released The Genesis Machine: Our Quest to Rewrite Life in the Age of Synthetic Biology in February 2022.
