DIRECTED BY EMMANUELLE BERCOT

After Cannes opener STANDING TALL, legendary actress Catherine Deneuve, multiple-Award Winner actor Benoît Magimel (PACIFICTION, PARIS MEMORIES, THE PIANO TEACHER) and director Emmanuelle Bercot reunite for a lyrical and moving portrait about the fragility of the human experience.

Benoît Magimel is Benjamin, a passionate theatre teacher in his late thirties who just found out he has terminal cancer. Reluctantly leaning on the support of his loving mother Crystal (Catherine Deneuve) and his compassionate doctor (Gabriel Sara), he slowly learns to accept the inevitable journey of death.

PEACEFUL first premiered to great acclaim at the Cannes Film Festival and is now being released in American theatres this fall! Anchored by incredible performances from French cinema veterans Deneuve and Magimel, it is a film about sorrow and grief, but it is also a celebration of the fleeting joys of life that make it worth living regardless.

A son in denial of a serious illness. A mother facing the unbearable. And between them a doctor and a nurse fighting to do their job and help them find acceptance. The four of them have one year and four seasons to come together and understand what it means to die while living.
