In the director aspect of his career Jordan Peele (Oscar-nominated Us and Get Out) has become the king of horror. With his first and second films behind the camera, he turned the whole genre on its head. Shook things up but good. So many were very interested when it was announced that his next project was going to be an update of the classic sci-fi/horror television series, The Twilight Zone.

The original series ran from 1959-64 on CBS then a feature film hit the big screens in 1983, a television revival from 1984-89, a television film in 1994, a second revival on UPN in 2002-03, a radio series from 2002-12, and not to mention in print in the form of comic books, novels and a magazine. All this to say that The Twilight Zone is an institution in the entertainment world and has made enough of an impact to become part of the American fabric.

It would seem like it was only a matter of time before another revival of the series was to occur. With Peele at the helm, you knew it was going to be something worth watching. His revival sends the viewer into another dimension. The stories here are very modern with plenty of social consciousness built in.

Also because of the lure of working with Jordan Peele there is a great cast here including Kumail Nanjiani, Tracy Morgan, Greg Kinnear, Seth Rogan, Adam Scott, Ginnifer Goodwin, Sanaa Lathan, Zazie Beetz, Taissa Fermiga, Jacob Tremblay, Damson Idris, Chris O’Dowd, and John Cho.

The reboot lasted for 20 episodes and they are all here in this collection.
