Stacey Tenenbaum’s globe-trotting doc SCRAP premiered at this past year’s Hot Docs Festival. It is timely because, October is Circular Economy Month, when Canadians engage in better ways to reduce, reuse, and recycle. And on Oct. 17 – 23, it’s Waste Reduction Week.
In SCRAP, Stacey, from Montreal, tackles the question about our disposable society, why we throw out memories along with unwanted possessions; while venturing into metal graveyards to find things like planes, ships, trains and trolleys, all left to die.
SCRAP will screen in Montreal at Cinema du Parc – 3575 Park Ave.
