Louis Tomlinson announced the dates for his US tour, in addition to the recently announced UK and European arena tour. The “Faith In The Future” world tour will cross North America from May to July 2023, stopping at the iconic Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, Forest Hills Stadium in New York and the Red Rocks Amphitheater in Colorado, before the singer-songwriter travels to Europe from August to November, where he will perform at the O2 Arena in London. Check out the full tour itinerary below.
Recently, Louis Tomlinson unveiled a final taste of his new album, the song “Silver Tongues” – listen to it here. Here. “Silver Tongues” is an earworm brimming with energy and joyful nostalgia. Written with Joe Cross (Lana Del Ray, Courteeners) and Theo Hutchcraft of Hurts, the piece marks another bold sonic breakthrough for Louis.
“Silver Tongues is probably the song I’m most proud of on the record,” says
Louis.
This Friday, Louis’ highly anticipated second album, Faith In The Future will finally be available. The title reflects the optimistic vision of Louis, who created these songs keeping in mind that they were intended to be played on stage. Having spent the first part of his adult life living at full speed, Louis was happy to be able to take his time to make sure his second album was to his liking. For Faith In The Future, he collaborated with Mike Crossey (The 1975, Wolf Alice), Rob Harvey, Dan Grech (The Killers, The Vaccines, Halsey), Nico Rebscher (Alice Merton) and the aforementioned Joe Cross and Theo Hutchcraft.
Also including the first single “Bigger Than Me ” and the indie punk track Out Of My System, the album kicks off strongly with The Greatest’s resounding drums, which Tomlinson describes as a celebration of his relationship with his fans. Highlights of the record also include the danceable Written All Over Your Face, the summer anthem Lucky Again, the moving Angels Fly and Holding On To Heartache, as well as Common People, a stunning tribute to his hometown, Doncaster.
Faith In The Future is characterized by a delicate balance that sees Louis explore different sounds while always remaining himself, authentic, honest and uncompromising. All This Time is a return to dance music, while She Is Beauty We Are World Class is downright a dance piece, perfect for an Iberian sunset.
Walls was an album that Louis had to make, but now it’s spreading its wings and reaching a higher level.
In 2021, Louis found himself in the Guinness Book of World Records, having broken the record for the virtual concert by a most popular male solo artist, having sold more than 160,000 tickets to fans in more than 110 countries, while raising funds for several important charities as well as touring technicians affected by the pandemic. Following the huge success of Louis’ “Away From Home” festival in 2021, a second edition was held this year at the Marenostrum Fuengirola in Malaga, Spain. The event sold out in just 24 hours, as 18,000 fans bought tickets to see some of Britain’s best new bands.
