NOISE FOR NOW has partnered with Artsy for an online-only benefit auction which is currently live now through 2 pm ET on Tuesday, November 29. The auction features art from established and mid-career artists including Cindy Sherman, Laurie Simmons, Marcel Dzama, Marylin Minter, Josh Kline and more with the Benefit Host Committee composed of Shaw Bowman, Eli Diner, Dave Eggers, Yosi Sergant, Kate Steciw and Vendela Vida. See the full list of artists below and available work via https://www.artsy.net/noisefornow
Proceeds from the auction will raise urgently-needed funds for the independent abortion clinics via Keep Our Clinics and abortion funds via National Network of Abortion Funds, who are on the frontlines of the fight to protect abortion access in the US.
“The midterm elections proved that abortion bans are wildly unpopular, yet abortion bans remain in place in 17 US states,” notes NOISE FOR NOW Executive Director Amelia Bauer. “The impact on abortion funds that are helping patients travel across state lines to access care, as well as the independent clinics that are receiving an influx of patients is overwhelming. These organizations are experiencing an ever-increasing need for funds to meet this healthcare crisis head-on, and we are so grateful to these artists for donating their work for this vital cause.” The nonprofit NOISE FOR NOW is a national initiative that enables artists and entertainers to connect with and financially support grassroots organizations that work in the field of Reproductive Justice, including abortion access. NOISE FOR NOW is the link between touring musicians, progressive promoters, athletes, artists and local reproductive rights organizations in cities across the country. By organizing benefit events and campaigns, NOISE FOR NOW provides opportunities for artists and entertainers to use their talents to raise money and send a clear message that Reproductive Rights are human rights.
