His second studio album Sonder was released worldwide
Singer-songwriter Dermot Kennedy officially announced his Sonder tour, which will travel across North America next spring. Produced by Live Nation, the 28-concert tour will kick off in Vancouver and visit New York’s iconic Madison Square Garden as well as cities such as Dallas, Nashville, Chicago, Los Angeles and Boston, before concluding in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania in mid-June.
The tour will celebrate the artist’s new album, Sonder, which was released on November 4 via Island Records/Interscope. Sonder, which means “the realization that every passerby leads an existence as rich and complex as his own”, resonated strongly with Dermot and led him to embark on an exciting new musical chapter. The album includes the superb piano ballad “Innocence and Sadness”, which was recorded entirely in one take; the catchy « Kiss Me »; The first excerpt « Something to Someone », which has more than 20 million streams; and “Dreamer ,” which he recently performed on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert (watch the performance HERE). The Sonder 2023 tour will be Kennedy’s first opportunity to perform songs from his album live in front of his North American fans.
