Bonanza was a ground-breaking series that depicted life on a Nevada Ranch run by the Cartwright family. One of its major achievements was being filmed and broadcast in color by NBC from 1959 onwards. The show successfully enticed numerous families to upgrade from black and white TVs, proving that color wasn’t just a gimmick.
