DEAD AHEAD 2025: SECOND ANNUAL WEEKEND IN MEXICO
The revamped lineup for Weir’s Dead Ahead band brings together a stellar cast, featuring Simpson, Carlile, Goose’s Rick Mitarotonda on guitar, Bob’s Wolf Bros bassist Don Was, alongside his Dead & Co bandmates Jeff Chimenti, Oteil Burbridge, and Jay Lane. Additional guests include singer-songwriter Brittney Spencer and guitarist Grace Browers. Notably absent from the roster is his longtime Grateful Dead collaborator, Mickey Hart. Over three nights, fans will be treated to performances from Bob’s Dead Ahead band, along with Sturgill Simpson, two sets by Oteil & Friends (one honoring the Jerry Garcia Band), Trampled by Turtles performing Old & In The Way, singer-songwriter Joy Oladokun, and R&B pianist Neal Francis.
