Flor de Toloache is waiving goodbye to 2019 with gratitude for an
exciting year with the release of a brand new music video for their
“reggae-achi” version of Juan Luis Guerra’s Quisiera, featuring none
other than acclaimed singer-songwriter JOHN LEGEND, named People magazine’s
sexiest man alive for 2019.

With a mariachi meets the Caribbean musical vibe, the song was praised by fans and industry alike, amassing over one million streams on Spotify and now will be getting a dreamy love story music video. Directed by Jonathan Specktor and Juan Pablo Rodríguez, the video was produced by Plan 9 Media and recorded in Los Angeles, CA. “Quisiera by Flor de Toloache definitely struck a chord with us, and we wanted this video to show exactly what we felt the first time we heard it. This song feels like a dream, and John Legend’s performance makes it even more surreal.

‘Quisiera’ is clearly a love song, but it also speaks about hope, about all those things that you wish could happen. The funny thing about hope is that it always has a little melancholy attached to it, because when you hope for something, it also means that you’re not there just yet. But hey, wishful thinking is the first step towards CHANGE”, commented both video directors.
